Railway

Railway projects require a high level of precision compared to many other projects and often have tolerance requirements at the millimeter level. We carry out railway layouts and objects within the track area, where our surveyors possess class 1 surveying qualifications as well as relevant safety training.

Previous customers: Trafikverket, NRC Group, Infrakraft, Infranord, Strukton.

Road

We have extensive experience in road works, both in the reconstruction of existing roads and in new construction. With a strong customer focus, we ensure that you and all contractors involved in the project have the right conditions to carry out the project.

Previous customers: Trafikverket, NCC, PEAB.

Wiring network

Through a proactive approach where correct placements are carried out on time, we ensure that your project can proceed without disruption. We also assist with wiring instructions and carefully mark out where all pipes are located underground to protect them from excavation.

Previous customers: IP Only, Transtema, Fiberstaden, Öckerö Nät.

What is placement?

Like surveying, a stakeout starts from known points in the world. The goal is to show where a projected point is located in reality and mark it out. It can be described as a transfer of measurement data from a map, drawing or similar, to a point in the terrain on a construction site, etc. Stakeouts are mainly used in production measurement to support contractors who carry out the actual construction.

Staking can be done in several different ways using different tools and methods, including GPS (rover), total station, laser, etc. The choice of method depends on the project's sensitivity to how large or small margins apply.

Measuring correctly is not only important before the next step, production/construction, to ensure that all data and measurements are available to the contractors. It also plays an important role once the construction is complete in producing relationship documents so that it is easier to troubleshoot and fix errors in the future.

Why is stakeouts necessary?

Regardless of the construction project, you need the right input value and a picture of how and where the structure will be placed. Accurate measurement gives you a clear overview of the project area, and is a prerequisite for ensuring successful designs and constructions that stay within budget and flow efficiently.

What is the difference between staking out and surveying?

Regardless of the design, everything is based on surveying and staking out in order to show in reality where something is and document it. Accurate and reliable position is a basic requirement for the necessary geoinformation for a project. When surveying, like staking out, you start from known points:

– Staking out marks out the position of a known point in reality. Ex: A hole is to be dug. A stakeout is carried out to mark out where it is to be dug and where pipes and other infrastructure are located so as not to damage them during the excavation.

– Surveying documents the position of a point. Ex: A hole has been dug. A survey is carried out to measure and document where this hole is located in the world.
